Mrs. Davis has a special connection to St. Katharine Drexel, as she grew up in the Far Northeast on the outskirts of Philadelphia, just minutes from her home. She also visited her shrine several times during grade school, and these experiences, along with the values practiced in her home, helped build the foundation of a strong faith in her life.
Mrs. Davis attended Penn State University, where she earned her degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on child and youth development. After graduation, she taught at Head Start, working with 3–5-year-olds to help prepare them for kindergarten. While she loved this role, she felt called to share her faith more openly in her teaching. Mrs. Davis stepped away from the classroom for a time to get married and raise her sons, who now attend SKD. When they were younger, she returned to teaching at Holy Family Regional Catholic School in Levittown. During her time at Holy Family, she returned to school and recently completed her second bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Immaculata University. Mrs. Davis is excited to bring many new and engaging things to her classroom this year and can’t wait to get started. She looks forward to taking on this new challenge while spending more time at St. Katharine Drexel in a Christ-centered environment, where she can share her Catholic faith with her students each day. |
