The Parent Association

The Parent Association plays an important role in enhancing the experience of students, parents, and staff at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School. Our mission focuses on both fundraising and friendraising to support the needs of our school while building a strong, welcoming, and vibrant community. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you and look forward to working alongside our families throughout the year.

​Parent Association Leadership

​The Parent Association is led by a dedicated group of volunteer parents who work closely with school administration to ensure our efforts align with school goals.

  • President: Serves as the lead organizer and spokesperson for the Parent Association. Oversees board activities, leads meetings, and collaborates with school leadership.
  • Vice President: Supports the President, assists with event planning and fundraising, and steps in as needed.
  • Secretary: Maintains meeting agendas and minutes, oversees communications, and ensures important announcements are shared in a timely manner.
  • Treasurer: Manages all financial matters, including tracking fundraising income and expenses, preparing reports, and overseeing the annual budget.
  • Stewardship Coordinator: Focuses on appreciation and recognition of volunteers and donors, helping ensure every contribution is acknowledged.
  • Homeroom Parent Coordinator: Works with teachers to recruit and support homeroom parents, assisting with classroom communication and activities.​​

Events Throughout the Year

The Parent Association organizes a variety of events that provide opportunities for community building and fundraising. While event offerings may vary each year, activities often include:
  • Back to School Ice Cream Social
  • Parents Night Out for PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade
  • Golf Outing
  • Lunch with Santa
  • Christmas Village
  • Designer Bag Bingo
  • Sweetheart Dance
  • Mother and Son Event

Fundraising and Friendraising

At the heart of the SKD Parent Association is our commitment to supporting the needs of the school. Through fundraising efforts, we help provide vital resources for school programs, campus improvements, safety initiatives, and special projects. Equally important is friendraising. We create opportunities for families to connect, build friendships, and feel a sense of belonging within the SKD community.Both are essential to a thriving school!

​How You Can Get Involved

We encourage every family to participate in a way that feels right for them.
You can volunteer at an event, join a committee, attend a meeting, or offer a professional skill. Every contribution matters.
Stewardship hours are offered for attending meetings and volunteering at events. At the end of the school year, all volunteer hours are entered into a raffle for free tuition for one child in your family. The more you volunteer, the more entries you receive.
