St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School students are presented with diverse learning experiences including numerous “Co-Curricular” classes. These courses include Music, Art, Digital Literacy, Spanish, and Physical Education. Students interact with the co-curricular teachers on a weekly basis.
The classes also strive to incorporate the Catholic faith into lessons. In Music class, students prepare to fully engage in liturgy, musical responses, mass parts, and hymns. In Physical Education, there is a strong emphasis on sportsmanship and maintaining one’s physical fitness. Digital Literacy class reviews the concept of being safe and kind online. In Art classes, students continuously surprise themselves with their skills and talents, and the Spanish classes teach more than vocabulary, they introduce the students to other cultures and communities and allow students to realize that we are part of a much bigger community.
