Mrs. Culhane graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Prior to coming to St Katharine Drexel, Mrs. Culhane had the pleasure of teaching special education at a Catholic school in the Diocese of Orlando. She is certified to teach Special Ed K-12 in PA. She is trained in the comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus Program. She looks forward to offering specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with learning disabilities. She is committed to helping all students reach their own potential and believes that this can be achieved for students of all abilities and learning styles. Mrs. Culhane believes in using a multi-sensory approach, which employs various forms of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic methodologies. She also loves to incorporate sign language into her lessons! She grew up in Langhorne, PA and attended Our Lady of Grace and Villa Joseph Marie schools. She is married with four children and loves being a part of the SKD and Saint Bede's community.
