Ms. Banas holds a M.Ed. in education from The College of New Jersey. Her undergraduate work in elementary education, with a minor in early childhood education, was completed at East Stroudsburg University. Her background includes over 20 years of elementary experience within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She has spent these years within grades five through eight. Mrs. Banas also have five years experience in an academically oriented preschool environment. She is a capable and dedicated educator who has endeavored to enhance the religious and educational experience of her students. Mrs. Banas is also trained in the “Wilson Reading” program which has enabled her to improve the reading abilities of those students who may need another approach to reading. She has been selected several times for inclusion in the “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers”. She was also honored as an “Outstanding Catholic Educator” from Villa Joseph Marie High School. When she is not teaching in the classroom, Mrs. Banas enjoys relaxing time at home with her family and her golden retriever, Peyton.
